Both Iain Stewart and I are joining up with Team Leo to offer our support to the children's ward at MK University Hospital and taking part in the hospital charity's Wear it Blue day on Friday 29th April.
Local schools, businesses and individuals are being invited to join Team Leo and turn MK blue for the day.
The day is in aid of Leo's Appeal which set out to raise £200,000 when it was launched by the charity in 2013 to enhance the experience of children and families visiting the hospital – and there is just £70,000 left to go! Wear It Blue will help contribute towards this target.
In return for a small donation of just £1, participants can wear anything they like – tops, hats, trousers, socks, even wigs – so long as it's blue, the colour of Leo's Appeal.
Leo called me to ask if he could "re–lion" me to support his fundraising campaign for the children's ward at MK Hospital. Naturally, I'm delighted to back Wear It Blue Day and hope that the people of MK help to make it a roaring success!
