Let's Rock the House!

Mark is calling for all local musicians to enter parliament's Rock the House competition.

Rock the House gives musicians the opportunity to enter their original material to their MP, who will ultimately nominate one entrant to go forward to the next stage of the competition. A panel of industry executives will preside over choosing the finalists and winners. They will then go on to have their pieces played in parliament and win an array of prizes, from equipment, festival slots, high profile exposure, recording sessions, plus radio and TV airplay.

Co-ordinating the entries for Milton Keynes will be local musician Martin Wakley, Director of Milton Keynes Music and owner of Buskers in Wolverton.

Mark commented, "This innovative project calls for artists of all genres to showcase their creative talents. With endorsements from high profile music legends such as Brian May, Rick Wakeman and Alice Cooper, plus the prizes on offer to the winners; I'm excited to see what Milton Keynes has to offer."

"Every year the competition gets bigger and better and my thanks go to our Patrons, Sponsors, Judges, the entrants, the MPs who take part. If you're a musician or a film maker, make sure you take part in the 2014 competition!"
