Mark gets his hands dirty to clear community space

Mark recently joined BTCV on their Milton Keynes Railway Conservation project aimed at clearing spaces on the disused railways around Milton Keynes.

Mark joined the Railways Conservation project which was working in Newport Pagnell, to clear shrubs and restore the woodchip path in the park area at the back of Sheppards Close.

The project, organised by BTCV who run various in Milton Keynes, is aimed at ensuring green spaces are made in to pleasant community areas and not used for anti social behaviour. BTCV also run a "Green Gym" where volunteers exercise while helping to clear areas.

Mark said "This is a fantastic project, especially for those who enjoy gardening as much as I do and also want to help out locally. I would encourage people to look to volunteer on this project and to find out how else they can get involved."

For more information on how to get involved please go to www.btcv.org.uk.
