City MP Mark Lancaster has supported National School Meals Week.
Running between the 4th-8th November, the week aimed to raise awareness of School Meals and saw each school child being provided with a meal.
Mark visited Greenleys Junior School where he sat and enjoyed, with the children, a healthy and nutritionally balanced meal of Sausages and Mash with vegetables.
Mark said 'Too often we are feeding our children food high in sugar and fat and we are damaging their health. It is vital we ensure they have a healthy, balanced diet and I was pleased to be able to join members of Greenleys Junior School as they enjoyed their school meal.
National School Meals Week is a great way to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy diet, especially for a child at school.'
