City MP Mark Lancaster has visited Emberton School to celebrate World Milk Day.
World Milk Day was established by the United Nations to celebrate children drinking milk in school and early years settings on one day of the year all across the world.This Launched in 2000, the day is used to promote the importance of drinking milk at school to children in a fun and educational way.
Mark was pleased to join the children at Emberton School to talk to them about the importance of drinking milk and the nutrional benefits it can give.
Mark said: 'World Milk Day is an excellent way to raise awareness amongst children and parents of the benefits milk offers our bodies, and in particular our bones, as we grow. I am delighted to have been able to visit Emberton School where school children are given milk at school and hope this continues for a long time yet.'
