Mark takes Willen Surgery closure to the top

City MP Mark Lancaster has taken the issue of Willen Surgery to the Secretary of State for Health.

Mark was contacted by residents following the sudden closure of the local surgery and offered to hand their petition to have the surgery reopened to the Health Secretary.

On handing the petition over to Jeremy Hunt, Mark also asked him to look into the circumstances surrounding the mysterious closure to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Mark said, "It has obviously been a worrying time for patients and staff of the surgery and while I am pleased that they have all been allocated new practices I am concerned that there are still no answers as to why this happened. I am looking forward to the Secretary of State's response to the petition and letter, I sincerely hope we can find a positive outcome to all this."
