Mark was delighted to attend the launch of the new Webber Independent School this week.
He met with children from the former Bury Lawn School and their new principal, Sue Vig, before enjoying a tour of the school's refurbished facilities. These included a new state-of-the-art Information Computer Technology department, a new dedicated learning zone, and larger library with an average of 25 books per child, before declaring the school officially open.
Mark said: "I am delighted to witness the beginning of a new chapter in the proud history of this long-established Milton Keynes school. I want to wish all the best to the pupils of Webber Independent, old and new, as well as their new Principal, Sue Vig."
Mrs Vig said: "We are delighted that Mark managed to find time in his incredibly busy schedule to join us on this momentous occasion and find out more about what we are doing here. The Webber Independent School will be a dynamic place of functional learning with a central ethos of achievement, education and fun, preparing pupils for life in a multi-cultural digital society where knowledge and skills are highly covered. I hope he will reflect on everything he has seen here today and promote what we are striving to achieve, incorporating/ building The Webber Independent into the heart of the local community."
