Local MPs Mark and Iain have given a warm welcome to news that recorded crime in the Thames Valley Police area has fallen over the last twelve months. Latest figures from the independent Office for National Statistics show that recorded crime in our region fell by 11 percent.
Commenting, Mark said:
'I am only too aware of how hard our local police officers work to keep us safe here in Milton Keynes. I am of course pleased to see that their hard work has paid off and recorded crime has dropped but it is vital we continue to keep these figures low."
Iain Stewart said:
'The news that crime is falling in our area will be warmly welcomed by local people. I have spent time shadowing local police officers as well as visiting the Thames Valley Police control room, I know how incredibly hard officers work in Milton Keynes and they should be very proud of their success.'
