Figures just published for the A&E Department at MK Hospital show that more than 95% of their patients coming to the hospital for treatment were treated, discharged or admitted in under four hours.
The first quarter results show that the hospital were seeing an average of 227 patients per day, a period that is renowned for being one of its busiest. The management team are delighted with this achievement which is testament to the whole organisation working to improve the flow through the hospital. The wards, departments and discharge teams have worked together to effect timely discharges for the patients which has contributed considerably.
It's evident that these results are a prime example of every member of staff at the hospital working together to improve on the level of service available. I've no doubt this achievement can be persistently maintained and I congratulate everyone involved.
