No Oil, No Grease, No Grime!

The ITAS Academy, based in Blakelands, is a state-of-the-art facility, designed from the ground up meeting the needs of tomorrow's automotive technicians.

The 33,000 sq ft building contains cutting-edge equipment, technology and tools sourced from across the world to create an unrivalled learning environment.

Their clients include Bentley, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Vauxhall and the Volkswagen Group, delivering high-quality technical training and software used across vehicle networks reporting on critical repair data and to manage standards compliance.

Managing Director Tony Young explained that as vehicles become more and more complex, intelligent and technologically advanced, they also become more challenging to repair.

"Modern cars are like planes without wings. We're to hoping to play our part by encouraging school-leavers to consider a future as a vehicle technician. I'm looking forward to working closely with Mark to spread the word throughout our local secondary schools to see for themselves that this is a modern, professional and rewarding sector and one I'm passionate to be a part of."

I was incredibly impressed with their facilities for learning and their innovative techniques are attracting many international businesses to MK. I have a particular interest in their plans to introduce 3 year apprenticeship programmes and will certainly encourage a dialogue with local schools.  For more information visit http://www.itasworld.co.uk/
