Red Faced for Red Nose Day!

It was a bumpy ride but with a great team effort MK Christian Foundation have cycled 1254 miles from Torquay to Africa!

A whole week of being in the saddle has paid dividends for Comic Relief and to date £1896 has been raised by a staff, members of the community, MP's and the Mayor for their static cycle race.

Organised by MK Christian Foundation, themselves a charity, who co-ordinate a number of social enterprises with the aim of providing training, work experience and support to disadvantaged young people.

Alighting from my 30 minutes in the saddle, I could see that the week long fundraising efforts have clearly brought a "buzz" to the centre. Not only have they being tirelessly fundraising throughout the week, the benefit has been that many more local people have engaged with the team and it's created a real sense of community.
